The Flow Check
Every product we feature gets a Flow Check: a short, honest record of what we verified before recommending it, and what we couldn’t confirm.
What we check
- Brand claims: sustainability, ethics or material claims are compared against the brand’s own published information and any certifications it names.
- Shipping: where the brand ships, typical delivery times and costs as stated on its site.
- Returns: the return window, who pays return shipping and any exclusions.
- Reviews: what real customers say across independent sources, not only on the brand’s site.
- Commercial relationship: whether a link is an affiliate link or a feature is sponsored, always disclosed.
How we score: Clever, Kind, Fun
Clever
Does it solve a real problem? Multi-way design, packability, easy care, versatility.
Kind
How transparent is the making? Materials, production, deadstock or upcycled inputs, fair-trade information.
Fun
Does it have personality? Would you be excited to wear it and keep it for years?
Each pillar is rated 1 to 5 with a sentence explaining why. Scores reflect our judgement on the information available at the time of checking.

What it isn’t
A Flow Check isn’t a lab test or certification. Brands change their policies, so always confirm details on the brand’s site before buying. Spotted something out of date? Tell us and we’ll recheck.
